Chris Hurst brings over 30 years of oil and gas industry experience, with a career rooted in field operations, inspection, and integrity management. Having worked his way up from the field into leadership roles, Chris has spent decades managing inspectors, contractors, and crews, giving him a clear understanding of what separates strong inspectors from poor ones.
Before joining Keystone Energy Group, Chris spent nearly 15 years with Explorer Pipeline Company in integrity and right-of-way leadership roles. He oversaw ILI anomaly dig programs, integrity maintenance activities, and right-of-way operations, while directly hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating inspectors and contractors. This hands-on experience allows him to staff the right people for the job, not just fill seats.
Chris has reviewed thousands of inspection reports, managed QA/QC, enforced OQ and safety requirements, and worked closely with engineering, corrosion, and land teams to ensure work was done correctly and in compliance. He has been responsible for correcting underperforming inspectors and developing high-performing ones, giving him a practical, field-tested perspective on inspector quality.
As an Account Manager at Keystone Energy Group, Chris is focused on building client trust by staffing experienced, reliable inspectors who understand the work, follow procedures, and perform at a high level. His background ensures clients receive inspectors who are qualified, accountable, and ready to execute from day one.
